Power-building in the South
Grantmakers for Southern Progress’ report series, As the South Grows, was first produced in 2017 with three goals: (1) debunking stereotypes and myths about the South, (2) serving as a vital resource for funders wishing to invest in Southern-focused movement infrastructure, community-based organizations, and (3) encouraging greater funding for social change in the South and U.S. Territories. In 2022, Grantmakers for Southern Progress asked The Moriah Group to spearhead the data gathering and analysis for their new report that aims to advance power building and social change efforts in the South.
