The Hidden Costs of College

Many students dream of attending college, but the cost makes the dream seem unattainable. Beyond tuition, there are many additional costs that are not factored into student aid such as transportation, food, books, and materials. We partnered with Northeastern University to write an issue brief on the role of institutions of higher education in supporting first-generation college students, particularly commuter and non-traditional students. We also highlighted the support services offered by Northeastern University as an example for other institutions.
