A Tale of Two High Schools

The quality of K-12 education that students receive determines the postsecondary options available to them. Using data from the United States Department of Education Civil Rights Data Collection, we partnered with CLASP to tell the story of two different high school experiences – one for White students, and one for Black students. The differences in access to rigorous curriculum, quality teachers, and school counselors to help guide their choices all have significant economic impacts for Black students and their families.
